Wisniewski, Ida Joyce (nee Doxtater) Born to Eternal Life Saturday, March 20, 2010 age 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Richard Wisniewski. Loving mother of Laura (Patrick) Gallagher. Dear sister of Audrey Joerres. Preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Rinaldo "Bud," LaVera, Cecelia, Lloyd and Stan. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, wonderful neighbors and good friends. Memorial Visitation at the funeral home on Friday, March 26 from 10AM-12 Noon. Memorial Service 12 Noon. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery at a later date. Ida Joyce was a 1943 graduate of Bay View High School. Nearly 40 years later, she began attending UW-Milwaukee, graduating with honors in 1989. Education, both formal and informal, was always important to her. Her favorite jobs included working at Llewelyn Library and as a secretary at Burdick and St. Veronica schools. While at UW-Milwaukee, she worked for the pre-college program and tutored and mentored minority students. Ida was a proud member of the Oneida Tribe of Wisconsin, and could play a mean ragtime piano.
