Died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 20, 2002. Age 81 years. Beloved husband of Mary Frances (nee Spangenberg). Loving father of Henry Alan (Louise), Nancy (Arthur) Mitchel, Mary Jane, Joseph (Pamela). Dear grandfather of Joseph (Jill), Amy, Kathryn, Matthew, Nicholas, Heather, Shannon (Matthew), Brian, Abigail, and Margaret. Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, other family and friends. Visitation FRIDAY 9:30 – 11 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, So. 31st and W Parnell Ave. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment and Military Honors at Arlington Park Cemetery. Hank was a retired electrical engineer of Wisconsin Bell and a World War II Veteran proudly serving the U.S. Coast Guard in both the European and Pacific Theatres. He was a member of the American Legion Post 427, a past president of the 14 Oaks Corporation and member of the Telephone Pioneers. Hank enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, painting and photography. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church would be appreciated.
