Mengert, Helen J. (nee Smith) Born to Eternal Life on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Elroy Al Mengert. Loving mom of James (Paula) Mengert and Margie (Steve) Kidder. Cherished grandma of Christopher Mengert, Cullen and Kylie Kidder. Dear sister-in-law of Verna (the late Stanley) Bokal. Helen is preceded in death by her siblings and is further survived by her special friends Patricia and Linda, Adopted Daughter Kim Hughes, many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home Friday, September 1, 2017 from 4-7 PM. Visitation also Saturday 9:30 - 10:30 AM at MT. ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3820 W. Layton Ave. Greenfield. Funeral services at 10:30 AM. Interment at Good Hope Cemetery. Helen retired as a switchboard operator from St. Lukes Medical Center after many years of service.
