Hector Luis Cruz Jr.

(April 19, 1992 - January 8, 2024)

MILWAUKEE - It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Hector Luis Cruz Jr., who left us on January 8, 2024, at the age of 31. Hector was born on April 19, 1992, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Hector was a loving son to his mother, Elizabeth (Jason) Scheelk, and his father, Hector (Silvia Alvarez Ruiz) Cruz. He was a cherished brother to Juan Cruz, Marcel (fiancée Jessica Flores), and Antonio (Lauren Barrett) Cruz. Hector was a proud and devoted father to his two sons, Hector Cruz III and Joel Cruz. He also embraced his role as an uncle to Dominic and Elijah. Hector held a special place in the hearts of his grandparents, Chris Morales, John Morales, Bienvenita Cruz, and the late Juan Cruz. He was a nephew to Rachel (Jim) Guthrie, Daniel (Ana) Morales, the late Angelo Machado, the late Kenny Machado, Juan "Papotito" Cruz, Alita Vazquez and Julio Cruz. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will remember him fondly.

Hector had a zest for life that would light up any room. He loved playing pool with his Pops and relished the competitiveness it brought. Whenever he had the chance, he would escape to the great outdoors and go camping with his family, creating treasured memories that will forever be held dear.

Hector had a remarkable bond with his grandfather and cherished their conversations, which brought wisdom, laughter, and guidance into his life. It was in the presence of his loved ones where he truly felt happiest, always ensuring that joy and laughter filled the air. His incredible sense of humor and infectious smile could uplift even the darkest of times, leaving a lasting impression on all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Visitation Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4PM to 7PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service to follow, at 7PM.

Hector Luis Cruz Jr. was a compassionate light in the lives of those who knew him, and his absence will be profoundly felt. May his soul rest in eternal peace, forever encompassed by the love and memories his presence brought into the world.
