Obituary

88, of Milwaukee. Born to Eternal Life on Tues., March 14, 2006. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Marie (nee Pechousek), of 62 years. Beloved father of Thomas (Anne), Mary Margaret Melanson (Yves), John (Mary), Leah, Joan Poletti (Ed), Carol, and Ellen Zydzik. Harry is also survived by 2 sisters, 1 brother, 19 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Harry was born May 12, 1917 in Condon, and grew up in Oregon City, Oregon. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII, European Theatre. After working for the US Weather Bureau, he followed his father Leon's example and worked for many years as a grading contractor and truck driver. Harry enjoyed Lake Michigan fishing during his later years and delighted in teaching his grandchildren the nuances of Sheepshead. He maintained an interest in genealogy, tracing his roots back to Sebastian Fisher, who arrived in New York in 1710. Visitation SAT, March 18, 9-10:45 AM at SACRED HEART OF JESUS CHURCH, 3635 So. Kinnickinnic Ave., St. Francis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM. Burial with military honors will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Xaverian Missionaries, 4500 Xaverian Drive, Franklin, WI 53132 or Sacred Heart of Jesus Church are appreciated.
