Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, age 102 years. Born July 16, 1921 to Edward C. Laabs and Norma I. Laabs (Nee Lind). Beloved and caring husband of the late Lila (nee Wolfgram) for almost 70 years. Loving Dad to the late Karen Laabs (at the tender age of 9 Months), Kristine Laabs and Sondra (Dale A.) Graeven. Proudest Papa ever to Paul (Courtney) Graeven. Great-Grandpa to Dallas and Harrison Graeven. Also survived by sisters, Marion MacArthur and Aldene Suchorski and nieces, Lee Ann (Dan) McCabe, Lynn Layton and Lori Baker. Dear brother-in-law of the late Shirley (the late Franklin) Mussotter. Also survived by other family and friends.

Harold was a retiree of Nordberg Manufacturing after 43 years of service, a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II on the LCI 711 and a member of Unity Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a proud member of Lake Lodge No. 189 F&AM for 75 years, 32nd degree Scottish Rite-Valley of Milwaukee, Tripoli Shrine, the Tilers, the Longriders of Tripoli and Lake Shore Shrine Club.

Our Dad was blessed with a very long funfilled life, traveling, spending time with wonderful friends, and family time filled with joy. We raise our glasses to honor his gentle and generous spirit. A sincere thank you to the staffs of Clifden Court and Brighton Hospice, for your loving care for Harold and his family.

Visitation at the Funeral Home on Monday, October 16, 2023, 4:00-6:00 PM followed by Masonic Services under the auspices of Lake Lodge No. 189 F&AM at 6:00 PM. Interment Arlington Park Cemetery on Tuesday, October 17 at 10:00 AM, meet inside cemetery entrance. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Shriners Children's or Unity Ev. Lutheran Church are appreciated.
