Jason Cross found rest on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the age of 59.

Born on March 30, 1964 in Anna, Illinois, he was named Harold Leroy Cross by his parents, William Cross and Clara Green. He later chose the name Jason for himself, and that is how he was known by his family and friends.

Jason was an avid fan of science fiction, fantasy and games, which he played in person and online regularly. These same pastimes were a core part of his social life. His favorite movie was Logan's Run. Jason was preceded in death by his parents as well as various siblings, chosen family members, and beloved pets.

He is survived by his life partner Sherry Reitz, half-sisters Faye de la Garza and Brenda Noel, and his chosen family including Mike Cox, Darrell Butler, Mike Denoweth, Emory Churness, David Giffen, Mike Bucholtz, Mat Klestinski, Ben Eckdahl and others, including the cats he and Sherry cared for.

He is now reunited with beloved family members, friends, and pets who have come to welcome him home.
