Obituary

Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the age of 89. Loving husband of 36 years to Lynn. Caring dad of Lori Eidemanis, Debra (David) Yielding, the late John (Barbara) Eidemanis and Tracy (Tony) Rossa. Proud grandpa of Kali (Brandon) Mathe, Gina Rossa, Seth Eidemanis, Eric Rossa and Skye Eidemanis. Further survived by other friends and relatives. Gunars served his country as a member of the United States Army during the time of the Korean Conflict. Gunars retired from Nordco after over 30 years of service. Gunars was an excellent bowler who played competitively for many years in his work leagues. He loved puzzles, especially Soduko and cryptographs. Gunars and Lynn greatly enjoyed travel. For the last few years they particularly enjoyed their trips driving to Florida, visiting family. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life with visitation and sharing at Carl's Catering, 5110 W. Loomis Rd, Greendale, FRIDAY, December 17, 2021, beginning at 2 PM with a dinner to follow. A special thank you to the staff at Heartland Hospice of Kenosha, Dr. Ronald Cohen and Dr. Anthony DeFranco for your compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Greendale are appreciated.
