Thiele, Gregory E. "Greg"

Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the age of 73. Loving husband of Jennifer (nee Tolzmann). Beloved father of Jeffrey (Leslie) and Mark Thiele. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Samuel and Angelica Thiele. Further survived by other relativities and friends.

Proudly born and raised in Bay View, he attended Boys Tech - back when it was only boys and they swam sans suits! Thereafter, he served with pride for 30 years on the Milwaukee Police Department. A True Blue Officer, he was a Patrolman for several different districts throughout his career, he also worked in the Juvenile Division as well as on the FBI Task force. Greg was highly skilled at the four hour goodbye; everywhere he went he knew somebody. After 30 plus years of faithful service on the MPD, his passion for investigations continued as a State Welfare Fraud Investigator. All the while still tinkering with small engines. His passion for public service was never ending.

Greg enjoyed playing Sheepshead, crossword puzzles, reading, fishing for walleye in Canada and hunting. Brandy Old Fashions, German Beers, Cognac and good cigars were Greg's vices.
