IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gregory "Greg" Allen
Debattista
November 11, 1948 – February 15, 2025
Gregory "Greg" A. DeBattista
Born into eternal life on Saturday, February 15, 2025, aged 76 years. Beloved husband of Cyndie DeBattista (nee Hubert) for 42 years. Loving father to Tom (Lori) Knight, Tim (Kayla) Knight, Troy (Cindy) Knight, and Diana (Ray) Buman. Cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and others. He is preceded in death by his two sons, David and Christopher DeBattista, his grandson Tristan Angel, and his parents Henry "Popcorn" and Lorraine Dettmann.
Greg proudly served his country in the Marine Corps as a Private Lance Corporal during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart during his service. He loved to be out on the water, whether it was boating or fishing. He enjoyed taking his children skiing and tubing, always trying his hardest to dump them off the tube. Greg was an avid golfer, spending time on several courses locally in Milwaukee and down in Florida. Throughout his lifetime, he owned several motorcycles, and he enjoyed taking his wife out on the open country roads. Some of his favorite things consisted of drinking coffee and eating sweet breads (provided by his daughter-in-law Cindy). With Greg, there was always room for dessert.
