(nee Ziniewicz) Grace was born in the midst of the great depression to first generation Polish immigrants. She was one of seven children born in Milwaukee, WI where she would live her entire life. When WWII broke out, she answered her countrys call and served as a typist in the Army. It was there that she would meet the love of her life, a young Marine named Ralph. Shortly after the war, they wed and went on to raise two children, Darlene and Ken. Ralph was active in Brewery Workers Union Local 9 and the Milwaukee County Labor Council, where he served as the vice president for many years. Grace was a strong supporter of organized labor and proud to be a lifelong Democrat. Their lives were intertwined in their love of Dar and Ken, their fondness for family and friends, and a shared pleasure in taking short or long journeys. They also enjoyed concerts, movies, and a martini in front of their fireplace. Several short years after Ralphs passing, Graces first grandchild was born and so began the next chapter of her life. During this time she beat cancer and a heart attack to boot. She claimed she "Still had kids to raise and her work wasn't done here. Well, after they were all grown up or almost all grown up, at the ripe age of 97 her work was finally done here. Grace passed away of natural causes on Saturday, April 29, 2017. She is survived by her loving children, Darlene (Rick) and Ken (Kim), as well as grandchildren: Robin, Riley, Khai, Justin, and Nick. Grace touched many people with her time here on earth and will certainly be remembered fondly.
