Konczal, Gloria M.
Gloria Mae Konczal went home to God on March 9, 2018. Born on December 3, 1941, she was preceded in death by her mother Alice, her father John, and her stepfather Speedy.
After an accident as an infant, her family was told she wouldnt live to adulthood and should be institutionalized. Instead, Gloria went home, learned her numbers and ABCs, and was a helpful daughter, sister, and friend. She worked at Southeast Campus/Goodwill Industries for 25 years under Ann Dusterhoft, whom she adored. Gloria enjoyed travel and flew in an airplane, gambled in Vegas, and took a road trip from Wisconsin to California. She loved to color and draw, the 4th of July and American flags, Mickey Mouse, the Golden Girls, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. Gloria believed in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and Magic.
She is survived by her guardians, brother and sister-in-law Douglas and Betty Tetzlaff; our kids Jennifer and Katie Tetzlaff; her sisters Barbara Ciezki and Joyce Konczal; her brother Kenneth Thomas; best friends Patricia Paddock and Linda Brzenk; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Visitation THURSDAY, March 15, 2018 from 5-6 PM at the Funeral Home. Memorial Service at 6 PM.
Special thanks to Dr. William Dralle, the doctors, nurses, and other staff at the MRICU in St. Lukes Hospital, and the staff at Aurora Hospice at Home.
