Zakrzewski, Gilbert B. Born to Eternal Life on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Age 84 years. Beloved husband for 59 years of Mary Ann (nee Konkol). Loving father of Jeanine, Mark (Jennifer) and Robert (Patricia Drozewski) and the late Allan (Linda). Cherished grandfather of Joseph, John, Matthew, Daniel, Sarah and Ethan. Further survived by other family members and friends. Gilbert was born on February 12, 1929 in Stevens Point, WI. On June 15, 1953 he married his wife Mary Ann. He was a charter member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and active in many of the church ministries including St. Ben's Meal Program and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Gilbert was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Pere Marquette Council #524 and was a retiree of Ladish Company after 39 years of service. Throughout his life Gilbert enjoyed fishing, painting and gardening. Visitation MONDAY, May 13, 2013 from 9-11 AM at ST. CHARLES BORROMEO CHURCH, 3100 W. Parnell Ave. Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or the charity of one's choice.
