Geraldine Cain Jefferson, a loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed peacefully on August 2, 2018. Geraldine also known as Gerri and Jet, was born to the late Willie Cain and Marie Barnes Cain on March 10, 1930 in Middletown, Ohio. She was the youngest girl among 4 brothers and one sister. She graduated from Middletown High School in June 1948, moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1959 and retired from The United States Postal Service in 1990. Geraldine was a very social person, she loved playing cards, she loved a good game of Scrabble and the occasional high ball with her friends to whom her door was always open. She was most proud of working on the campaign to elect President Obama. She saw a Black President, twice in her lifetime. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Malik Attiba (wife Kim) of Oakland, CA and two daughters, Robbie Jefferson of Shaker Heights, OH and Kimberly Jefferson of Milwaukee, WI; five grandchildren, Libra, Malik Jr., and Khalil of CA, Tiffany of WI and Sydney of OH and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and two brothers, Floyd Cain (wife Hazel) of Ohio and Wilford Cain (wife Gloria) of Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband, J. Westley Jefferson; her brothers Willis Cain and Allie Cain; her sister Gladys Gayle and many dear friends. Geraldine Jefferson is to be cremated and her ashes distributed among the family members. We, the family, with great gratitude and appreciation, wish to acknowledge all the words of love and encouragement we have received.
