Found peace on Saturday, February 28, 2009, age 84 years. Beloved husband of the late Rosemarie (nee Florczak). Dearest father of David (Cynthia) Weiss, Gerald (Sandra) Weiss, Janice (Thomas) Ignaszak and Audrey Mielke. Step-father of Kate (Jim) Michalek. Fond brother of Geraldine Ciardo. Brother-in-law of Maxine Weiss. Also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other caring family and friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home Thursday, March 5, 10AM-12Noon. Funeral Service at 12 Noon. Interment and military honors at Chapel Hill Cemetery. George was a proud U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II with 97th Infantry Division. A heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff, especially Robin, at Zablocki V.A. Medical Center, for the dignified care and treatment given to George.
