Loving dad of Debra (Les) Leanna, Dan (Chris) Matel, Tom (Kathy) Matel, Sue (Mike) Patnaude, Mike (Wendy) Matel, Jim (Micki) Matel and Patti (Andy) Swanson. Cherished grandpa of Brian (Allison), Nick (Trina), Katie (Mark), Joey (Katie), Anna (Charlie), Jake (fiancee-Rosie), Angie (Justin), Sam (Jenna), Ellie (Noah), Kailey, Jimmy, Justin, Madisyn, Lexi, Josi, Paige, Matthew. Proud great-grandpa of Landon, Lily, Liam, Hank and Leila. Preceded in death by his brothers, Kenny, Philip and Jerry. Father-in-law of the late Greg Hejdak and the late Steve Roso. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Fred was a retiree of Wisconsin Telephone, US Army veteran serving in the Korean War, and along with his wife, Virginia, an active member of St. Alexander Parish in Milwaukee for many years.
