Born to Eternal Life Monday, June 10, 2024 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Inge (nee Villarreal Damm) and the late Delia (nee Martinez). Loving father of Albert, Linda, Larry (Kim), Carl (Leslie), John (Theresa), Alisa (Michael) Ackerman and Ani (Chris) Bering. Dear father-in-law of Colleen Wellstein. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank N. and Susan (nee Schaeffer) Wellstein; sisters, Viola (John) Murray, Lorraine (Howard) Gloyer and Rosemary (Robert) Cheske. Further survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Frank's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, as he touched the lives of many with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering strength.
Frank attended St. Florian grade school, Marquette University High School, Marquette University and University of Illinois. Frank dedicated his career to serving the community as a civil engineer in the City of Oak Creek and then the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District where his expertise and dedication left a lasting impact. His commitment to his profession was matched only by his love and devotion to his family. Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Frank's family wishes to thank the dedicated staffs of Franciscan Villa and St. Croix Hospice care team for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Donate Life-Wisconsin or Marquette University High School.
Visitation on Saturday, June 22, 2024, 9:30-11:00 AM at St. Matthew Parish, 9303 S. Chicago Road, Oak Creek. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Private entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.
