Francis A. Lubinski was born to Eternal Life on May 23, 2026 at the age of 78. Francis passed peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by family. Francis is survived by his wife of 57 years Catherine Susanne (nee Nickels), loving daughter Janice Marie Lubinski, admiring sons, Francis A. Lubinski Il and Mark M. Lubinski (Marie Alix Cisse), Loving Grandfather of Francis A Lubinski Ill and Jennifer A Lubinski (Tim Gaines), loving Great- Grandfather of Olivia Mae Gaines. Further survived by sister Darlene Lubinski (Norbert Woyak). Also, survived by Sister-in-Law Patricia A Nickels Mauk (Russ) and Mary M. Nickels Hoffman (Terrance) and Brother-in-Law Norbert Woyak. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
Preceded in death by father, Frank Nicholas Lubinski, mother, Dorothy Zaporowski Lubinski; Sisters Judy and Cindy.
Francis began his life together with Catherine in October 1968. Suddenly found himself in the United States Army during the Vietnam War serving from 1968 - 1970 as a Specialist 4th class. Francis was stationed at Fort Belvoir, VA and ran the computers for the base at locations all around Washington, DC. After completion of his tour of duty, he returned to Milwaukee with his family working and continuing his education. Francis attended Milwaukee Area Technical College (now MATC), UWM and graduated from Marquette University in May 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Shortly, Francis started working on his Master of Science at Cardinal Stritch University graduating May 1985. Further became a licensed Real Estate Agent in the State of Wisconsin, September 2005. Each listing and showing he put his heart and soul into doing his best for his clients.
Francis throughout his work career worked for Wisconsin Bridge and Iron, Crane Manufacturing, Allen Bradley, GE, Eaton Corporation, Insinkerator and Andis. Francis' most challenging and interesting job was working for Eaton Corporation on Navy projects. During this time Francis received a patent for a switch he worked on. We are very proud of my husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Francis was a member of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), long time member of Mercedes Benz Club of America - Wisconsin Section, 50 plus years as amember of Catholic Financial Life, serving as President of Chapter 306 for 7 years and former Commander of American Legion Cudworth Post 32 and most recently accepted the Commander position to help in reorganizing Howard J. Schroder American Legion Post 457-Mequon -Thiensville, WI. Francis spent many enjoyable Tuesday evenings at the Brew City Cruisers car shows with his 1989 - 300SEL Midnight Blue Mercedes.
The family wishes to thank the very caring and considerate Doctors and Nurses at Ascension Columbia St Mary's both Milwaukee and Mequon campuses.
Visitation on Friday, May 29, 2026, 12:30PM-2:30 PM at St. Eugene Congregation, 7600 N. Port Washington Rd. Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 PM. Private interment. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St Eugenes Parish, Howard J. Schroeder American Legion Post 457 (Mequon-Thiensville) or the American Heart Association.
