Francis "Fran" Donald Hauerwas

Born on July 18, 1934 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Born to eternal life on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the age of 91 years. He is reunited with his beloved wife Betty Jane (nee Tadych) of 56 years, preceded him in death. Loving father of John (Salome) Hauerwas and Jacqueline (Robert) Felden. Grandfather of Nicole (Alex Robinson) Hauerwas, Christopher (Jessica) Hauerwas, Erin (Kevin) Smigielski, Bernadine (Joe Juergens) Hauerwas, and Benjamin (Tonee Lopez) Felden. Great Grandfather of Orson Borel, Jane Hauerwas, Clark Hauerwas, and Louise Hauerwas. Fran was preceded in death by his brothers Bernard and James and his sisters Jeanette, Delores and Maryann. Dear brother-in-law of Sandra Tadych, Rita Tadych and David Sommers. Also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

Fran was a graduate of Bay View High School. Fran had a career in Sales. He retired from AAA Sales and Engineering. Fran was a man of faith. Lifetime member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Grant Park Senior Men's Golf League, and also at Warnimont Golf Course. Fran also had a love for Pickle Ball. Fran was a kind and loving soul, who found the good in everyone he met and all that he encountered throughout his life. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at St. Augustine of Hippo Catholic Church 2530 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207 on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM. Private Entombment at St. Adalbert Cemetery to follow.
