Florence Fernanda Zanardi

(nee Pratesi) Was reunited in Eternal Life with her beloved husband Louis John Zanardi on Friday June 9, 2023. Age 94 years. Loving mother of Sandra Zanardi (Eric Galisdorfer) and John Zanardi (P. Scott Navarro) and step-son Michael Zanardi. Cherished Nonna of Courtney (Matthew) Barnard, Roxanne (Kyle) Barber and Brittany Galisdorfer (David White). Treasured great-grandmother of Ella, Gianna, Clare, Louis and Vance. Florence is preceded in death by her sister Renata (the late Chester) Gruchalski and Sergio (the late Maddalena) Pratesi. She is survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Wiken, nephew Christopher Wiken and his family, niece Kori Wiken, nephew Eric Gruchalski, nephew Luigi Pratesi, other family members and friends.

Visitation Friday, June 16, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1720 E. Norwich Ave. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Entombment to follow at Forest Home Cemetery.

Florence was born in Florence, Italy in 1929. She survived the horrors of World War II and immigrated to the United States, met Louis Zanardi and was married in the year 1958. Together they created and operated South Woods of Cudahy Supper Club and raised two beautiful children. She was an award winning bowler, an avid gambler, was a gourmet cook and loved to listen to Tony Bennet. Florence was an American and Italian. She raised her family in both cultures and traditions.

Her family would like to thank the caregivers and staff of Oak Park Place of Wauwatosa and the team at ProMedica Hospice.
