Born to Eternal Life on Friday, January 23, 2026 at age 89. Beloved wife for 68 years of Dominic A. Lampone. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dominic A. Lampone; her parents, Steven and Mary Balistreri (nee Carrero); her four brothers, Tony (Mary) Balistreri, Theodore (Carmella) Balistreri, Jerry (Annie) Balistreri, John (Rose) Balistreri; and her two children, Dominic S. (Lori) Lampone and Stephanie Lampone (Dave Lopez).
Florence grew up in the 3rd Ward in Milwaukee, which was predominantly an Italian Community. Her family came to the United States from Aspra, Sicily. Florence met Dominic at the age of 16 and they got married at age 21. She later worked at her mother-in-law Anne's diner on East St. Paul Ave., in the 3rd Ward.
She was a loving mother of Mary (Jim) Lindstrum, Paul (Amy) Lampone, and Rosie (Keith) Dodd. Cherished Nana of Stacey (Joe) Fremy, Steven Lindstrum (Marie), Tony Lopez (Laura), David (Ashley) Lopez, Jaime Lampone, Paul (Taylor) Lampone, Sofia Lampone, Joey Lampone, Dominic Dodd and Kady Dodd. She was known and loved as "Big Nana" to 16 great grandchildren.
Florence's grandchildren meant the world to her, and she helped to raise and babysit many of them. She loved to talk about how proud she was of her grandchildren and enjoyed showing their pictures.
Florence loved spending time with her family, especially at Christmastime. She enjoyed playing bingo, dancing, playing cards, and shopping. She loved roosters, Betty Boop, gingerbread men, and Angels. She found peace at the Bay View Lakefront and loved to feed the ducks. She enjoyed getting ice cream and sight-seeing in the Bay View area. Florence loved to cook for her family and made the best spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, stuffing and calamari.
Visitation on Friday, February 27th from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 1023 E. Russell Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53207. Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
