Florence Kraco, recently of Milwaukee and formerly of Lake Summerset, IL passed away on May 22, 2025. She was born in Chicago on October 12, 1937 to Emil and Wanda Biedron, and became big sister to Emil, John, and Joe. She met Paul Kraco when she was 16, they married in 1958, and for 61 years, they worked hard to build a life focused on providing for their family, thoroughly enjoying the company of their friends, and taking long road trips throughout the U.S., exploring back roads, national parks, and local foods (and sometimes with no notice popping in on friends and family who happened to be on their route).

Florence began working while in high school as a bank accountant in downtown Chicago. Even before they were married, Paul and Florence began investing in, renovating, and renting out apartments in the two and three-flat buildings where they lived, eventually moving to a single-family home in Park Ridge, IL, where they lived for 30 years. Florence often said that she was fortunate to be able to stay home and raise daughter Karen and sons Carl and Chris without working an outside job, and she insisted we say here that was the part of her life that she enjoyed the most. When her sons were in high school, she started working as a Realtor, work for which she was well suited and that she relished.

In retirement, Florence and Paul moved to Lake Summerset, IL, where they quickly became ringleaders in their social circles, helping expand the Lake Summerset Bocce Club and its social activities. Florence often led "field trips" exploring the area with friends. Florence continued to live at Lake Summerset for 6 years after Paul's passing in 2019, with the kind support of her across-the-street neighbors and her family. In January 2025 she moved to Milwaukee to be closer to family.

Florence was predeceased by husband, Paul, and brother, Emil Biedron; she is survived by brothers John Bieldron and Joseph Biedron; three children, Karen Kraco, Carl Kraco (Lirio Salgado), and Chris Kraco (Kathy Adsit); five grandchildren, Emma Kraco, Ben Kraco, Jennifer Fitouri, Sara Kraco, and Shelby Kraco; and three step-grandchildren, Edgar Salgado, Sophie Adsit-Gerlica, and Al Adsit-Gerlica. A memorial service will be held in the Chicago area late summer or early fall; donations can be made in Florence's name to the charity of your choice.
