Bethke, Florence A. (nee Wraatz) October 8, 2014. Age 98 years. Preceded in death by her parents William and Hulda (nee Templin) and her sister Grace Reise. Wife of the late Arnold Bethke. Caring mother of Frederick (Alice), the late Richard (Dede), Karl, Grace (David) Todhunter, Michael (Marti), and Edward (Sandy). Proud grandmother of Jennifer (Verne) Ball, Audrey (Bryan) Wasserman, Alan (Julie), Steven (Kelly), Peter (Dawn), Heidi, Ashley (Brad) Friedman, Brett (Anna), Jesse (Ombeni), Alex, Lisa (Scott) Skarzynski, Brian (Lori). Great-grandmother of Hadley, Elya, Avi, Max, Jake, Sam, Ella, Gavin, Hailey, Georgia, Elliott, Chloe and Owen. Visitation at the Funeral Home, SUNDAY, October 12, 2014 from 4-6PM. Funeral Service at 6PM. Interment MONDAY October 13, 10AM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 614 E. Howard Ave. Florence spent most of her childhood in Bay View graduating from Dover Grade School and Bay View High School. She was a member of the Bay View Historical Society and a Phelps Library Supporter, and long time resident of Dakota Street. She spent many summers enjoying the family cabin at Big Sand Lake. She was a woman of intelligence, kindness, perseverance and quiet strength, whose focus was always the welfare of her family. A lover of nature, cooking, crossword puzzles, chocolate candies, and humor she will be greatly missed. Memorials can be made to the Bay View Historical Society(2590 So.
