Van Handel, Eugene T. Born To Eternal Life on Wednesday, May 7, 2003. Age 88 years, Beloved husband for 63 years of Marie (nee Ginster). Loving father of Gerry (Janet) and Tom (Ginger). Dear grandfather of Mike (Kelly), Jay, Tim (Fiancée Tina), Carrie and Angie. Dear great-grandfather of Benjamin. Brother-in-law of Helen Van Handel. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation MONDAY 9 – 10:45 AM at SACRED HEART OF JESUS CHURCH, 3635 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Gene was the Founder and President of the Van Handel Co., an Advertising and Public Relations Agency. He started his business in 1950 as a "One Man Hole-in the Wall Operation" which grew to be one of the premier agencies in Milwaukee serving many large clients. Gene was an avid Golfer and , with his wife Marie, they traveled the Country to play many courses and were long time members of the local "Duffin' Doubles" group. Gene's family would like to thank the staff of Terrace at St. Francis for their tender care these past 3 years.In lieu of flowers, any memorials will be given to charities in Eugene's memory.
