Obituary

Age 89, died Monday, March 12, 2007. Beloved husband of Camille (nee Krawiecki). Dear father of Thomas (Laurie) and Linda (Keyvan) Rafii. Loving grandfather of Abraham, Benjamin and Samuel Kwiatkowski and Margaux Lin Rafii. Brother of Daniel (Kay). Brother-in-law of Gertrude King. Gene proudly defended his country in World War II, enlisting in the U.S. Navy prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor and again during the Korean War. He was a past commander of Frank Singer Amvet Post and a city of Milwaukee truck driver for 27 years. He will be remembered by many for his kindness and warmth. So many who knew him, adults and children alike, will remember him busily occupied with wood, stones and tools in his basement workshop where he created many gifts that were the products of his hands, skill and love.
