Makowski, Ervin J. Born into Eternal Life on March 26, 2012 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Esther (Nee Celinski) for 70 years. Loving father of Linda (Casey) Kolp. Proud grandpa of Mark (Laura) Kolp and Julie (Topher) Farrell. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at ST. VERONICA CHURCH, 4001 S. Whitnall Ave, on Friday March 30th from 9:00-10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Entombment and military honors at St. Adalbert Cemetery. Ervin retired from the city of Milwaukee after 35 years as a supervisor for the Bureau of Municipal Equipment. Ervin honorably served his country during WW II for three years as a crew chief with the U. S. Army Air Force. Ervin was a life member of the Dahlia Society of Wisconsin and dahlia judge for 24 years at the Horticultural Building at the Wisconsin State Fair. Ervin enjoyed gardening, propagating dahlias in his greenhouse, and exhibitions at dahlia shows.
