Cherished step-great-grandfather of Mallory, Madelyn, Ryan, Hunter, Landon and Jeanna. Former husband of the late Jean Marie. Dear brother of Marion (The late Blake) Trumbull, Betty (The late Richard) Kowalski, Beverly (John) McCarthy, Ronald (Susan) Held. Further survived by other family members and many dear friends. Ernest was a WWII veteran proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army. He was a technical director at the Milwaukee Mile Speedway, a technical advisor at the Indy 500 Speedway and active in USAC Racing from 1948 -2000. Ernest was the proud owner of Big "E"'s Checkered Flag in West Allis from 1966 -1980. Visitation at the Funeral Home TUESDAY, June 22, 2010 from 4-8 PM.
