Fell asleep in Jesus arms on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the age of 92 years, 7 months and 6 days. Beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Czysz who preceded her in death on September 14, 1994. Erna was born May 7, 1927 in the Town of How, Suring, WI to Henry & Helen Suring. She was the 4th of eight siblings. She is survived by 4 loving sisters Mavis Suring, Donna Tetzlaff, Iris (Dave) Erickson and Karen (Jerry) Wendt and sister-in-law Mae (Suring) Adams and many nieces and nephews, as well as many loving relatives in the Czysz family. Erna was also preceded in death by her parents Henry & Helen Suring, sister and brothers-in-law Doris and Lawrence Jansen, sister and brother-in-law LaVerne and Owen Schoenebeck, brother Gordon Suring and brothers-in-law Rodean Suring and Arlie Tetzlaff. Her legacy is being carried on by many nieces and nephews in the Czysz and Suring family, as well as other friends in her faith family at church. Erna used every minute of her 92 years to bring faith, light, love and laughter into the lives of everyone around her. She was a devoted member of Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church and avid participant in the Lutheran Woman's Missionary League. The best way we can honor her is to pick up where she left off, welcoming each day with gratitude, choosing love over fear, and unselfishly sharing our own unique and beautiful gifts our loving Lord has given to us. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Lutheran Chapel of the Cross Church, 3353 S. Whitnall Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207 from 10:30 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 PM with Pastor David W. Zeuschner officiating. Private entombment at Forest Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for Erna has been established in her memory at Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church, memo line: in memory of Erna Czysz.
