Passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, June 9, 2018. Age 71. Loving husband of Mona Wittmann-Laak for 25 years. One-of-a-kind dad to Sarah (Matthew) Stettler, Emily (Justin Loeding) Laak, Melissa (Chad) Fields, Andy (Meredith) Wittmann, and his little Pepper dog. Proud grandpa of Alex, Sydney, Chelsey, Joey, Rosie and baby Will. Brother of Dennis (Linda) Laak. Nephew of Larry (Charlene) Tesky. Also survived by his former spouse Barbara Bilicki. Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Gertrude Laak. He will be missed by many family and friends. Private services at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held, Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Jacobus Park Pavillon, 6501 West Hillside Lane Wauwatosa. Emils greatest career adventures were Serendipity Preschool and Child Care Center, and being the Matco Rock n Roll Toolman. He was a passionate music lover and drummer, playing with his father in the Laaks Music Men and the band, Travesty. He loyally served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the US Army.
