Emil was born on July 19, 1925 in the Provence of Modena in Northern Italy. Soon after, he met and married Pat and became a proud citizen of the United States. In 1964, he joined the faculty at the newly formed Academy of Basic Education now called Brookfield Academy where he taught Latin, French, and Ancient History. In 1975, he became the Head of the Middle School and in 1979 the Head of Lower School. He retired in 1988. Emil was very proud to be apart of the Academy family for 25 years, loving his students, colleagues, and where he was fondly known as the "Renaissance Man".
Emil and Pat spent 50 wonderful years together enjoying family, classical music, opera, playing bridge, poker and chess with the many friends they made. If desired, memorials to the Village of Manor Park or Brookfield Academy are appreciated.
