Mengert, Elroy C. "Al" Born to Eternal Life on Friday, March 18, 2011 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband for 47 years of Helen (nee Smith). Treasured dad of James (Paula) Mengert and Margie (Steve) Kidder. Adored grandpa of Christopher Mengert, Cullen and Kylie Kidder. Dear brother of Verna (the late Stanley) Bokal. Al was a retiree of the U.S. Navy after 20 years of dedicated service to his country and a retiree of the Milwaukee County Transit System after 18 years of service. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Heart Association.
