Of Orlando, FL, formerly of Milwaukee. Went to join his beloved wife, the late Margaret (nee Rowlingson), on Saturday, September 16, 2006, age 91 years. Loving father of Gary (Mary) Kruse and Gail (Greg) Nowakowski. Proud grandpa of Jeff (Katrina) Kruse, Shelly (Scott) Bernstein, Lisa Nowakowski, Michelle (Nick) Stopczynski and Allison Kruse. Burial and military honors to follow. Elmer was a Milwaukee resident from birth until retirement in 1982. He and his beloved ''Margie'' then moved to Orlando where they traveled and had a very active retirement until Marge's illness. He was U.S. Army veteran serving in Northern France during World War II, retiree of Rickert Industrial Supply, a former member and officer of St. Andrews Lutheran Ev. Church in Milwaukee and was a 1935 graduate and star basketball player at Custer High School. He was a kind and gentle soul who will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
