Elizabeth V. Pettit, 60, of Davenport, passed away, Thursday, July 17, 2014 at her home. Elizabeth was born, September 25, 1953 in Milwaukee WI, the daughter of Clifford and Ruth (Halter) Morden. She was united in marriage to Larry W. Pettit on August 4, 1973 in Oshkosh, WI. Elizabeth graduated from Omro High School in Omro, WI in 1971 and later received her CNA certificate in Berlin, WI. She has served in her husband's pastorate and ministry since 1976. She had a ministry all of her own. Elizabeth is remembered for her kind and compassionate spirit, always caring, doing, and giving to others. Countless lives have been enriched, encouraged, and blessed by her many cards, letters, and calls. Those honoring her life include her loving husband Larry of 40yrs., her children, Melissa Pettit, Davenport, Nathan and Maribel Pettit, Las Vegas, NV. and Matthew Pettit, Nashville, TN.; sisters Roberta and Howard Winter, Neillsville, WI., Kay and Ronald Candahl, Asboro, NC. and Suzanne (Susie) Jungwirth, Oshkosh, WI.; several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents.
