Born to eternal life on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, age 89 years. Beloved husband for 66 years of Irene (nee Ulbing). Cherished dad of Jim (Yvonne), Larry, Tom (Linda) and Mark (Jane) Zalewski and Amy (Jason) Stenglein. Proud grandpa of Kathy (Pete) Block, Kristin (Joe) Brojanac, Karie (fianc-Pat Schrader) Zalewski, Nicole Zalewski, Candice (Allen) Gould, Jason (Emily) Zalewski, Brian and Eric Grow. Dear great-grandpa of Aaliyah, Caleb and Kendall. Also survived by other family and friends. Edwin was a retired bookkeeper at the former National Hardware, a U.S. Army veteran and Past- Commander of Franklin Delano Roosevelt Post 444, American Legion. He was also an active member of St. Helen Church as a member of the church and school committee, participated in the Fathers and Sons Club and the Ushers Society. A heartfelt thank you to Sister Barbara, the staff at Villa St. Francis and the staff of Gentiva Hospice, especially Judy, for all of the love shown and care given to Edwin.
