Bakalarski, Edward Joseph "Eddie" Born into Eternal Life on June 11, 2013 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Cecilia (nee Theresa) for 41 years. Loving father of Christopher and the late Thomas. Dear grandfather of Edward "EJ" Bakalarski. Dear brother of Joanna, Sarah, Martha, Pearl and Walter. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at ST. CHARLES BOROMEO CHURCH, 3100 W. Parnell Ave on Monday June 17 from 9:00-11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment and Military Honors to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. Eddie served in the U. S. Army during WWII, notably at Omaha Beach during the Battle of Normandy, in France and at the Battle of the Bulge. Eddie was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his heroism in combat. Eddie was a retiree of Allis-Chalmers and Sieman-Allis after 41 years of service. Eddie was also a White Eagle member of the Polish Heritage Association.
