Edna Luz Alamo was born August 5th, 1935 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico where she lived until 1952 when she traveled to Milwaukee, WI to marry her sweetheart, Isidoro Alamo. Shortly after they welcomed the birth of their first son, Isidoro Jr. Followed closely by George, Rosa, Margarita, Alicia, and Arturo. Edna and Isidoro were overjoyed to add another son, Luis, to their family in 1978. Her love for her husband and children drove her many years of hard work and sacrifice to make sure that they were happy, healthy, and prepared for life. Edna and Isidoro loved to gather their ever growing family and friends for games and delicious food. When her husband passed unexpectedly in 1987, Edna continued to be the beacon that called her family together. Her loved ones knew that when they were with her they were safe and loved. In the eyes of many Edna was reserved, but when among those close to her she was quick-witted, funny, and competitive. She loved to play games with her family and she especially loved to beat them. She would say, "So sorry" as she smiled and collected her winnings. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by her loved ones. Her family takes comfort in that they were able to surround her with love at the end of her life. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
