Thom, Dorothy E. (nee Buth) Was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, October 6, 2014 at the golden age of 92 and a half years. She was re-united in Heaven with her husband, Gilbert, her beloved, devoted and best friend. Cherished, devoted mother and best friend of Faye Ellen Thom. Preceded in death by her parents Agnes (nee Lehberg) Buth and Fred A. Buth; brothers, Melvin A. Buth, Harvey J. Buth and Elroy Buth; and a sister, Annettte Oldenburg. Special aunt of Delores "Dolly" (Wayne) Karls. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Faye Ellen would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the doctors, medical staff and clergy for their constant caring, compassion and concern for Dorothy and her family. Dorothy displayed classic grace and dignity in all she did. She loved her home and enhanced the beauty of it. As a seamstress, perfection and excellence were evident. Gardening and the love of flowers enhanced the beauty of her life. Dorothy was always moving as she assisted and worked beside Gil with her exceptional coordinating skills in their trucking business, heavy equipment repair and service garages. She belonged to several organizations, often attaining high office. Children always gravitated to Dorothy. She cherished well behaved children and had rules she expected them to follow. Now Dorothy's golden soul has gone to heaven. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 16, 2014, 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Service at 8:00 PM. Private interment.
