Dorothy Lovaas, 97 was born to eternal life on February 3, 2017 at Zilber Hospice in Wauwatosa Wisconsin. Dorothy was born on December 5, 2019 in Marquette, Michigan, daughter of the late August and Irene Paveglio. Dorothy graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1937 and attended St Mary's College of Notre Dame. She was a graduate of the Detroit Business University, studied photography at Layton Art School and graduated from the Patricia Stevens Modeling School.
A devout Catholic, Dorothy spread her love of God through public speaking, teaching and liturgical dance. She was a teacher at St Alexander's School and South Day Care in Milwaukee. Throughout her life Dorothy's passions were her family, ice-skating, fashion and gardening. Beloved mother of Susan and August Mingesz; Cherished grandmother of Carrie Ward, Kelleah Lewis, Timyra Starkman, Conner Cowling, Tammie Corro and Cheryl Hussein Tremain. Preceded in death by her husband, James Lovaas, and her daughter, Leslie Pipito.
Memorial Visitation at the Funeral Home on Friday, February 17 from 5-7 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 18th at 10am, St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3100 W Parnell Ave., Milwaukee. Please meet directly at the church at 9:45 AM.
