Age 81 years, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2005 after a brief illness. She was born in Milwaukee on October 27, 1923, daughter to the late Antonius and Mary Lajca. She was united in marriage to Anthony Franszczak on July 28, 1945. Dorothy was a life-long resident of Milwaukee, a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, and a supportive mother who expressed great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her husband Tony; daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Edward Beale, daughter Fran Fargen, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Nancy Franszczak and son Paul Franszczak; grandchildren Jeffrey, Jennifer, Brian and Kyle; great-grandchildren Jamie, April and Derek; and sisters Alvina Bub and Eugenia Kornath, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Stanley Lajca. There will be a visitation Friday, February 4, 2005 from 10 to 11 AM at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH, So. 63rd & W. Oklahoma Ave. and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
