Donna Maud Wolle On Monday, December 16, 2019 at 8:50 A.M. Donna Maud Wolle joined the Saints Triumphant at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of the late Wilmer. Cherished mom of Allen V. Wolle, Rachel (William) Burgener, Aron (Jackie) Wolle and Rhoda Wolle. Loving grandma of Allen W. (Paula) Wolle, Lesha (Mario) Marin, Allen A. (America) Wolle; Tara Wolle, Zach (Jenna) Wolle; Sarah Hurst, William Burgener Jr. Dear great-grandma of Ryder, Gwendolyn; Nastacia, Aaron, Asaiah, Jesse, Malakai, Izaac; Julian, Adeline, Xavier, Eduardo, Axel; John . Preceded in death by her adored siblings June Erickson, Walter Viges and Waunita Rogers. Further survived by nieces, nephews, and friends. Donna was born on September 28, 1939 on a farm in St. Johns, Michigan to Vern and Agnes Viges. At the age of 17 she moved to Arizona with her parents, a few years later she met the love of her life Wilmer, a farm boy from Minnesota. Together they raised their 4 children and were actively involved with Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School in Tempe. During this time she became a second mom to dozens of children she babysat. She was one the driving forces involved in the start up of Arizona Lutheran Academy which began in 1978. Donna enjoyed riding thousands of miles on 3 Honda Gold Wings and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Precision Drill Team. In retirement Donna and Bill purchased a motorhome and enjoyed traveling, visiting family, and National Parks. In later years they lived and spent time with family in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Wilmer went to be with Jesus on August 21, 2000. Afterwards, Donna went back to school at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota and studied to be a staff minister. She graduated at the youthful age of 64. In her later years and despite many medical challenges she continued to share her love for people and her Savior. She drove the motor coach for the athletic department for Wisconsin Lutheran College into her early 70's and loved sharing her joy and enthusiasm for life with young people. Through out her life she was a natural evangelist, she never passed an opportunity to share her hope in Jesus. We rejoice that she now lives in the fulfilment of Jesus's promise.
