Donald R Ziller (Dino), of Greenfield, passed away peacefully February 13th, 2017 at age 88. Born March 17th, 1928 in Norway Michigan. Survived by son Richard (Kathleen) Ziller and daughters Dawn Haertel (John), Jean Ziller, and Jane Ziller; grandchildren Andrew Haertel, Nicholas Haertel (Samantha), Jacqueline Haertel, and Alexandria Ziller; nieces Carol, Beatrice, Simone and Suzanne; nephew Jack; and former wives Ruth Verville and Barbara Saffran. Further survived by his golf buddies and friends. Don served in the Army in Japan following WWII. He received a degree in Chemistry from Michigan State in 1952. Don spent his entire career at PPG Industries as a chemist. Don enjoyed the outdoors and many sports including golfing, bowling, skiing, hunting, and racquetball. He was a member of Oakwood Golf Club and Hartford Golf Club. Don was preceded in death by his parents Silvio and Beatrice (Pellegrini) Ziller; brothers Silvio (Maria), Alex, and Angelo; and sisters Kathryne Peterson (Frank), Mary Chiesa (Henry), and Amelia Nora (Joseph).
