Born to eternal life on Saturday, February 9, 2013, age 83 years. Beloved husband of the late Joyce (nee Behling). Loving dad of Karen (Frank) Rubio and Paul (Peggy) Wirtzfeld. Proud and loving grandpa of Brandon and Justin Rubio; Mitchell, Jon and Andrew Wirtzfeld. Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Catherine Wirtzfeld; sisters, Kathleen Metros and Valeria (Leo) Rahm and brother, Alvin Wirtzfeld. Dear brother of Mary Ann (Roy) Schleppenbach, Leon (Carol) Wirtzfeld and Larry (the late Diane) Wirtzfeld. Brother-in-law of Steve Metros and Joyce Wirtzfeld. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Donald was a retiree of AC Sparkplug in Oak Creek and a member of the UAW Union Local No. 1866. He was also a proud United States Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. Donald's family wishes to thank the staff at Zilber Family Hospice for the loving care given to their dad.
