Of Jackson. Born to eternal life on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, age 80 years. Beloved Husband and best friend for 56 years to Barbara (nee Sokol). Loving Dad of Scott Watson, Kathryn (Scott) Kuehn and Pamela (Eric) Pierson. Proud Grandpa of Rachel and Kaitlyn Kuehn and Scott Jr. (Rachel) Kuehn. Dearest Great-Grandpa of Scott Kuehn III. Dear Brother-in-law of Audrey Cavanaugh. Also survived by fond cousins, other family, golf buddies, friends and his "Pals", Maggie and Cocoa. Don was a retiree of the Milwaukee Police Department after 35 years of service, most proudly working with troubled youth in the Milwaukee area and was a member of the Milwaukee Police Association. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War, after his service he joined the Milwaukee Police Department. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 415 and Jackson Memorial VFW Post No. 7240. He was a also a member of Day Lite Lodge No. 358 F&AM, La Fayette Lodge No 265 F&AM, was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus with Father Casper Rehrl Council No. 1964 in West Bend and a longtime member of the Old Time Ballplayers Association. Don was an avid golfer, a great coach, mentor and the person who was always willing to lend a hand.
Visitation at the Funeral Home on Monday, May 23, 2011, 4:00-7:00. Masonic Services under the auspices of La Fayette Lodge No. 265 F&AM at 7:00 PM. Visitation also on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, 11:00 AM-12 Noon at ST. FRANCES CABRINI CHURCH, 1025 So. 7th Avenue, West Bend. Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon with military honors to follow. Private entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park. If desired, memorials to St. Frances Cabrini Church or the American Heart Association are appreciated.
