Guerin, Donald P. Born to Eternal Life on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Age 88 years. Beloved husband for 66 years of Betty (nee Tomchalek). Loving dad of Candy (Jim) Lidwin and Cindy (Tim) Gear. Cherished "Papa" of Chris (Kristy), Craig (Courtney) and Jimmy (Angie) Lidwin and Brad Gear. Dear great-grandpa of Kayla, Isabella, Kira, Kendall and Samuel. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Visitation THURSDAY, September 18, 2014 from 4-6 PM at ST. CHARLES BORROMEO CHURCH, 3100 W. Parnell Ave. Mass of Christian Burial at 6 PM. Private interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran who proudly served his country in WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a retiree of the Wisconsin Gas Company after 39 years of service. Throughout his life Don was an avid golfer. In April of 2011 with his grandson Chris at his side Donald participated in The Honor Flight Program. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice for their compassionate care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Charles Borromeo Church are appreciated.
