Donald A. Gesinski (aka Donny, Mr. G, Clark) entered eternal life Friday November 17, 2023 where he was welcomed by his parents, Bill and Aggie, his in-laws, Eddie and Estelle, and his son-in-law, Rob Becker. Donny was born in June 1942 in Milwaukee, WI. A young Donny (named after Donald Duck, or so the story goes) met his soulmate, best friend, and future wife Karen (nee Ignaszak), at the young age of 4. Donny and Karen have three cherished daughters Terry Gesinski, Christine Gesinski, and Lori Becker (Pete Jankowski). While he loved being a father, he loved being a grandpa even more. He always said "if I knew being a grandparent was this much fun, I would have had grandkids first," and he was a very proud and special Grandpa to Emma Gesinski-Rose, Robby and Josh Becker. He was brother-in-law to Robert Ignaszak (Suzanne) and Fr. Michael Ignaszak, dear uncle to David and Vicki Ignaszak, and former father-in-law to Edward L. Rose.

Donny met his other lifelong best friend Ken Lewandowski while playing at Pulaski Park when Donny and Ken were kids. Ken was at Donny's side when he married Karen on October 29, 1966. Besides his immediate family Donny was blessed with a large extended family. If you ask any of his daughters about their childhood, they will tell you about the day trips to Great America, and how "Dad always decorated the house at Christmas to the point that it looked like Stein's at Christmas."

A Polka Mass (at Donny's request) will be held at St. John Paul II - St. Alexander Church, 1568 W. Holt Ave., at 11:00 am on Saturday November 25, 2023. Visitation will be from 9 am to 11 am. The family would like to thank the Aurora Home Health Care Team for their exceptional care.
