Bieschke, Donald. "Papa Bear" Born to Eternal Life February 14, 2023 at the age of 90. Loving husband for 64 years of Carolyn (nee Swesel). Cherished father of Margery (David) Walton, Janice (Joseph Jr.) St. Louis, Michael (Sarah). Beloved grandfather of Joshua, Joseph III, Tyler, Jocelyn and Jacob. Brother of the late Richard and the late Kenneth. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation Friday, February 24, 2023 from 4PM to 7PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Vigil service to follow, at 7PM. Additional visitation Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at ST. ALEXANDER CHURCH, ST. JOHN PAUL II PARISH, 1568 W. Holt Ave. Mass of Christian Burial to follow, at 10:30AM. Entombment at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
Don was a proud veteran of the Air Force, having served during the Korean War. He was a proud graduate of Boys Tech, member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #49, Alonzo Cudworth American Legion Post #23, as well as the Tailpipes Car Club. Don was active in Dartball, golf, woodworking, gardening and general tinkering. He was always involved in his children's and grandchildren's lives and activities. Don adored classic cars, including owning and restoring a 1974 VW Beetle.
Memorials, if so desired, may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Don's family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Brighton Hospice for their compassionate care.
