Born to Eternal Life on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Age 86 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 63 years of Barbara (nee Galaszewski). Loving dad of Karen (John) Calteux, Kristin Bower and Kevin Kelly. Cherished grandpa of Ryan Calteux, Matt (Wendi Lewis) Calteux and C.J. (Nikki) Calteux; Nicole (David) McKown, Jake (Nikole) Bower and Alyssa Bower. Dear great-grandpa of Bryce, Kasen and Macey; Everett and Myles. Dear brother-in-law of Bob (Pam Cole) Galaszewski. Longtime friends of Al Guinta, Elaine Tessmer and Diana Sobczak. Dennis is also survived by nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members and friends.
Dennis was born and raised in Bay View. He was a 1957 graduate of Bay View High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and then in the U.S. Army Reserve. He spent the majority of his working career at Patrick Cudahy. First working in the plant and then worked his way into a sales position. He went on to work for Pritzlaff Meats for the balance of his career until his retirement in 2006. Dennis with his son Kevin at his side was chosen to participate in the Honor Flight of April 2024.
Throughout his life Dennis enjoyed to golf, play baseball, dartball, and spending time on the lake fishing and driving his pontoon. Dennis will be remembered for being the King of the Cliché and was always armed and ready with a one-liner.
Memorial visitation Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 9-11 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1720 E Norwich St.. Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Entombment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
