Denise Marie Wierzbinski found peace after a 12 year struggle with Alzheimer's on Friday, September 1st at the age of 65. She was the beautiful wife of Gary, loving mother of Angela and Lisa, sister to Debbie (Rich) Tourangeau and Dana (Mary) Marcelini, sister-in-law to Jeannine (the late Frank Golwacki, the late Steve) Benkovic, David (Deborah) Wierzbinki, Dan (the late Kris) Wierzbinski, Don (Heidi) Wierzbinski, aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. And a very special and loving bond with Melony, Jacki, Maya and the Pederson family.

A gathering to celebrate her life will take place on September 24th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Tonic Tavern, 2335 S. Kinnickinnic Ave, Milwaukee.

Denise was a free spirit who loved cycling, quilting, traveling, music, dancing, the arts and spending as much time as possible with her beautiful daughters, Angie and Lisa. We had a love for traveling the world. And the best travel times were when all four of us went together. While visiting Europe, we loved meeting with our "French daughters", Sophie, Agate and Celine. Along with Miriam, Jana and Naoko.

Her life was full of love, positivity and adventure. Whenever I would suggest a new adventure to her, she always replied "Let's go". Machu Picchu, Poland, France, Italy, Portugal and so many other countries ... always "Let's Go."

Denise biked her way across Wisconsin 11 times with her friends, Kathy, Carol and Ann. She enjoyed traveling and dinners with Deb and Rich and was always excited for the gal dinners and getaway weekends with Liz, Donna, Pam and Darlene.

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Francis House Memory Care and that of Moments Hospice Care for the kindness and care while keeping a level of dignity to her needs. And for the ongoing support of the Purple Canoe Club.
