(nee Greengrass) Passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the age of 66 years. Loving mother of Jeremiah Lloyd. Best friend of Steve Hahn. Beloved daughter of Sarah (Ted) Lyons. Dear sister of Darlene, Michael (Wendy), Susan, Edward, Morris, and Angie (Mike) Kelly. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Greengrass; her brothers Roderick and Craig; and her sisters Cynthia and Jeannette. Also loved by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She finished her Bachelors Degree in Accounting at Devry University. While in college she worked with the Ho-Chunk Tribe for enrollment services. In the 1970s Denise moved to Milwaukee and worked for over 15 years for the Milwaukee Indian Health Board. She then worked for Ikon Office Solutions while she started her own small business, Eastside Native American Shop with her family. Later, due to health issues, she retired to her home in West Allis.
