Obituary

Born to Eternal Life on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Age 76 years. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen "Kathie" (nee Schanz). Loving father of Denise Pollak, David (Amy) Pollak, Pam Farnworth and Mark (Angie) Pollak. Cherished grandfather of Joe, Michael, Jake, Adam, Regan, Ashlee, Ryan and Jaden. Brother of Terry (Clare) Pollak and the late Susie (John) Schoen. Brother-in-law of Michael (Chris) Schanz, Anne (Dennis) Lange and Alicia "Lee" (Larry) Schlicht. David is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lillian. He is also survived by faithful companion Manny, nieces, nephews, cousins, loving family, and dear friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home Tuesday, November 9, 2021 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Visitation also Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3100 West Parnell Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Military Honors and Entombment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. David married the love of his life Kathie on June 10, 1967. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army prior to marriage. He worked for over 34 years at Sears Co. On June 1,1996 David was ordained to the Deaconate. He faithfully served the parishes of St. Rafael, St. Charles Borromeo and Blessed Sacrament. In recent years Dave enjoyed playing cards. His family would like to thank the Davina, Shanna and Kelly from Seasons Hospice for their tender and loving care of Dave in his final days.
